Kapiti-Horowhenua Vegetarians 'n Vegans is open to people who choose to live a compassionate, cruelty free, and healthy life, and for anyone wanting information about going vegan. It is also for vegetarians wanting to transition to being vegan.

In the future we hope to have pot luck dinners in Paraparaumu, Otaki and Levin, as well as movie nights, cooking demonstrations and local restaurant visits, along with trips to both Palmerston North and Wellington for vegan events and vegan café visits.

If you are new to eating vegan or plant based, or you want some new recipes to try,  we will be adding to the initial four recipes here in the future.  If you have a recipe of your own and would like to share it, we would be only too happy to put it here as well.

Over the coming months and years we aim to have numerous events in the Kapiti and Horowhenua areas.  This will include visits to vegan cafes, walks, movie nights and other informative events.  If you are interested in sharing a dish or two and you want to meet other vegan folk Potlucks are a great place to do so.

So you've heard the term "vegan" and you are not sure what it means?  Perhaps you are vegetarian and think going vegan could be a bit difficult?
